Poem based around the character Kalona

Fallen Angel

Down down down I fall

I awaken on the grass that covers this new realm, earth is the simplest term for it.

I try to stand but the weight of gravity holds me down, unable to stand at full potential.

I'm hunched over taking in deep breaths trying to recollect myself.

"Why did this happen" the thought came rushing to me... "I loved her I wanted her I cherished her."

Fighting back the tears of defeat and uncertainty I gazed around at my new surroundings.

So simple, so pure, so human. So much opportunity for both good and evil depending how you look at it.

"I know that loving a goddess is forbidden, but I couldn't help myself...Kalona sounds more like Kal-OWN-a, now I know I can't own anyone."

Not in my life that was just taken from me  or this new one I've been hurled into, literally.

"Where do I go? Where do I start? I'm so lost, knowing I can't never return to the one I love."

I finally found the strength to stand and as I spread my midnight black wings high to the sky I shook the feeling of pain and started forward.. forward to....
